Vigan Cityhood: Vigan as a Town Then and a City Now

Vigan was once a small town rich in culture and history, now turned into a city. It was previously a municipality that boasts its small streets, historical houses with Spanish architecture, and lively town residents' way of life. Items such as burnay (pot), abel Iloko (weaved cloth), and longganisa are in high demand by wholesalers and consumers alike in this trading hub in Ilocos. Even if Vigan is just a town, its economic and tourism potential had already shown itself, which manifests its development into a full-fledged city.

Due to Republic Act No. 8988, Vigan was marked as a city on September 22, 2001. The potential of the locality for the economy as well as tourism expanded since that date. In order to fulfill the needs of expanding population, there has been improvement in public service, such as education and infrastructure. Because this city still takes care of rich cultural heritage, Vigan became a UNESCO World Heritage City and, for the reason, continues to attract not only local visitors but international tourism to the once historic city on earth, uniquely enchanting these visitors with that old-fashioned experience.

Vigan is a forward-thinking city today that is conserving its history while continuing to influence its future. Visitors from all over the world continue to flock there to take in the splendor of Calle Crisologo, sample their delectable cuisine, and feel the Vigüeños' friendly hospitality. Vigan has maintained its character as a historic site that captures the depth of our history and culture despite modernization.

A Journey With HTML Tags

During the second quarter, I gained a lot of new knowledge, particularly in the area of coding. Even though this has been difficult at times, I've discovered that perseverance and the correct tools, like internet guides, can make a big difference. Additionally, learned how to structure basic HTML code, using the <html>, <head>, and <body> tags to organize content. The <html> tag is the root element that wraps all the content on a webpage, while the <head> tag contains metadata like the title of the page or links to external stylesheets. The <body> tag holds the visible content such as text, images, and other elements that users can interact with. My understanding of web programming has improved as a result of these experiences, and I was careful to adhere to my teacher's recommendations, which helped me stay on track and avoid mistakes   One of the major challenges This quarter, I struggled with coding, particularly when it came to compreh...
