Reflection for the Third Quarter

As part of our community-based research project during third grade, we learned many groups and categories. We also published our results at the same time by building a webpage. During this, I learned how essential teamwork was in getting a lot done. And if it failed, you need to adjust on the challenges with it. You also learn that winning a project, as well as the result of a goal in a particular pursuit, means being receptive to information.

It wasn't all smooth sailing, though. Our poor understanding of CSS made it very tough to lay out the design. It was also very hard to balance working on the project with schoolwork, so I sat up many nights finishing the assignments. Maybe the most challenging thing was building the webpage using only Notepad and Microsoft Edge as the browser. We had to reload our work constantly to see the changes.

With these, I tried experimenting through some YouTube tutorials on how to write code to know how to pass through all these. Also, I got assistance from some classmates who really know how to do coding. With them and concerted effort, my skills are really getting better. Although I committed many errors, I learned that every one of them is an opportunity to grow and learn.

I will try to the best of my ability to solve all the obstacles that I will face during the course of the subsequent ventures that I will undertake in the future. This is because from this process, I now realised that achievements are based on persistence and learned experiences throughout all of one's life. To become adequately well-equipped for subsequent tasks, I will continue to learn more on coding or any other crucial ones.

A Journey With HTML Tags

During the second quarter, I gained a lot of new knowledge, particularly in the area of coding. Even though this has been difficult at times, I've discovered that perseverance and the correct tools, like internet guides, can make a big difference. Additionally, learned how to structure basic HTML code, using the <html>, <head>, and <body> tags to organize content. The <html> tag is the root element that wraps all the content on a webpage, while the <head> tag contains metadata like the title of the page or links to external stylesheets. The <body> tag holds the visible content such as text, images, and other elements that users can interact with. My understanding of web programming has improved as a result of these experiences, and I was careful to adhere to my teacher's recommendations, which helped me stay on track and avoid mistakes   One of the major challenges This quarter, I struggled with coding, particularly when it came to compreh...

Our Experience in Community-Based Research

Difficulty and Confusion in Coding, In the first picture, we can see us struggling to build our webpage. Because our coding knowledge is limited, we often get confused and face various errors. Despite the challenges, we continued to find ways to improve our project. Interview with a Burnay Worker, In the second picture, Jillian and Angelica interview a burnay worker. In this interview, we learned about the process of making burnay, as well as the challenges and opportunities in this type of industry. Their answers contributed greatly to our research. Highlighting Finished Products, The third picture shows the different types of burnay they sell. This shows the skill of the workers in producing a quality product that Vigan is proud of. Burnay Beauty Analysis, In the fourth picture, Angelica and I are closely examining and analyzing the burnays. We are trying to understand their quality, design, and durability as part of our research. Name of the Shop in Brgy. Bulala, The fifth picture s...

THEMATIC

The Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 or R.A. 9262 is one of the most important laws to address the different types of violence against women and their children, such as physical, sexual, emotional, and economic abuse. The law gives protection to victims by providing legal remedies, which include protection orders, housing assistance, and counseling services. It strengthens the capacity of women and their children to fight for their rights while ensuring perpetrators are punished.  In the annual 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, the importance of R.A. 9262 in raising awareness about gender-based violence and the implementation of laws that protect women and children. The purpose of the campaign is to encourage society to completely end the culture of silence and ignoring cases of abuse. Through this, the government and organizations show the need to fight violence and respect women's rights.  Republic Act No. 11313 (Safe Spaces Ac...
