                Natural disasters frequently happen in the Philippines because its country is placed within the Pacific Ring of Fire and a typhoon belt. With regard to this, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes result in great damage, especially poverty-stricken and densely populated areas. Due to these vulnerabilities, it is therefore important for the country to build up resilience against such disasters.
